Our Story
Sana Latinè is a wellness, cultural, and sustainability initiative created to support the Latine, Afro-Latin/Caribbean, and BIPOC community. Rooted in the healing phrase “Sana, sana, colita de rana”, our name represents care, resilience, and cultural pride.
Sana Latinè grew out of the vision of Kelsie Ayala and community members in Charlotte, NC, who wanted to reclaim and expand the cultural spirit of “sana, sana.” While the phrase originates in oral traditions across Latin America, Sana Latine takes that same spirit of care and translates it into modern, community-centered action. It’s a blend of cultural roots, personal healing journeys, and the need for spaces where Latine people—Spanish speakers, non-Spanish speakers, Afro-Latine/Caribbean, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and allies—can come together in authenticity and solidarity.

Offering wellness workshops that nurture mind, body, and spirit.
Creating cultural and language exchange spaces to celebrate and preserve heritage.
Building sustainability and volunteer projects that strengthen ties to the earth and each other.
Hosting creative and ancestral exploration opportunities so people can express themselves, honor their histories, and imagine new futures.
Our goal is to heal, connect, and empower our community by:
Ultimately, Sana Latine seeks to be a living space of care, creativity, and collective growth, rooted in the idea that healing is stronger when we do it together.
